Living Arrows 2015!

You might have heard me mention Living Arrows before, a weekly portrait project that ran this year over on the I Heart Snapping site. Today is the last week, can you believe it?! I have loved doing it so much and I’m very happy that I will be hosting the project on this site from next Monday, 5th January. The time has come for me to step away from I Heart Snapping to concentrate on other things but I’m sure Katie and Lucy have lots of exciting stuff planned and will do a fab job!Happy November Project-003

Along with a new host, there will be a few more changes next year. We will be including short videos and GIFs and I’m really excited that Natalie from Little Jam Pot Life and Maria from One Tiny Leap will be joining the group of featured contributors.

The project takes it’s name from the passage by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we each share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same. What I love about it is that there are no rules, anything goes, any medium. It’s a moment of parenthood that made you feel inspired to press the shutter.livingarrows6

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined in with Living Arrows and linked up to the project. There are some fantastically talented ladies out there and I have so enjoyed seeing all the gorgeous photographs this year. I’m really looking forward to another great year.
