Easter holiday shenanigans

Back to school on Wednesday and while I’m OMGSOEXCITED about all the fun stuff that’s coming up in the next few weeks, I’m wishing we could have an Easter holiday do-over. I spent the first week still feeling pretty awful and was prodded and poked over several days while we figured out what was wrong with me (appendicitis, promise I won’t keep going on about it but seriously….don’t think I’ve ever felt so poorly in my life. OK, done whinging now). As a result, I wasn’t very much fun and we spent a lot of time at home watching Peppa Pig and Frozen and eating all the Easter eggs. Last week was much better so along with a couple of mini-shoots, we did a lot of exploring and picnicking. Sandwiches taste so much better outdoors, don’t you think? We finished off the Easter celebrations with a trip to see family, our first night out without the kids in MONTHS (obviously we spent the whole time talking about them…) and a chilly egg hunt in the garden. Happy days.
