Happy New Year!
If you are joining in with Living Arrows for the first time – welcome! And if you’re a regular Living Arrows Mama then welcome back and thank you so much for supporting this project.
What is Living Arrows about? The name comes from the line of the Kahlil Gibran poem On Children – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. It’s about celebrating motherhood and childhood and capturing those moments you want to preserve forever. Anything goes. A portrait, a still life, a candid moment, phone, film, DSLR. I love to see how each person approaches the project and how we are all on a similar journey but how different it is for each of us and I love to share those photos here. I’m excited to see what this year brings.
Our Christmas gift to each other this year was to spend a few days at Butlins for NYE. We’re classy like that. We’ve spent most of the Christmas break visiting family and on various motorways and it was the perfect way to end the year and start another. I’m keen to get back to our normal routine now but I loved spending some quality time with my 3 favourite people. The kiddos are of an age now where they can really enjoy and appreciate new experiences and we’re so lucky to be able to do that with them.
A few favourites from Instagram. If you’re an Instagram user, be sure to follow along @livingarrows_ and share any photos throughout the week #livingarrows
