I’ve been having a few technical issues of late, hopefully they’re all resolved now and I can crack on with the business of blogging! A few favourites from last week’s link ups. I’m thrilled to see a few new names popping up and seeing all the wonderful photos. Click on any of the photos above to see more.

This little one is really enjoying having pets. She’s too young really to remember our dog so this is the first time she’s able to get involved with the animal care. She loves the hens so much, maybe even a little too much…she always wants to feed and cuddle them and unfortunately for her, the love is not reciprocated.

I’m so happy to have my blog back online after a week of problem with the domain hosting. At one point, I really thought everything had been deleted (might have cried…) so it’s a relief that that’s not the case. I didn’t realise just how much this blog meant to me!

We haven’t really done anything terribly exciting of late. We have spent the last two Saturdays visiting museums with the kids and for about 30 seconds my pre-children fantasies of what weekends with kids would be like are realised. It really amazes me just how much they take in on these visits – I think that my voice has just become noise to them and that they don’t actually pay any attention so when they tell me something that they learnt later, I’m a bit “Woah, how do you know that?”. Or they’re just geniuses. Could be that.

I think I was hoping for snow over the weekend more than they were! Sadly there wasn’t much here and it didn’t last for very long. They wanted to take out their bike and scooter in the snow…don’t ask…

blog-007Happy New Year!

If you are joining in with Living Arrows for the first time – welcome! And if you’re a regular Living Arrows Mama then welcome back and thank you so much for supporting this project.

What is Living Arrows about? The name comes from the line of the Kahlil Gibran poem On Children – “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. It’s about celebrating motherhood and childhood and capturing those moments you want to preserve forever. Anything goes. A portrait, a still life, a candid moment, phone, film, DSLR. I love to see how each person approaches the project and how we are all on a similar journey but how different it is for each of us and I love to share those photos here. I’m excited to see what this year brings.

Our Christmas gift to each other this year was to spend a few days at Butlins for NYE. We’re classy like that. We’ve spent most of the Christmas break visiting family and on various motorways and it was the perfect way to end the year and start another. I’m keen to get back to our normal routine now but I loved spending some quality time with my 3 favourite people. The kiddos are of an age now where they can really enjoy and appreciate new experiences and we’re so lucky to be able to do that with them.
