I’m really excited to share this wedding with you as I was looking forward to it for a while and these guys didn’t disappoint! Their wedding at a beautiful country church near Tring was just beautiful. The whole day was so relaxed and fun with such simple and pretty touches. It was very “them” and I’m thrilled to have been a part of it. Sam was the first person to book me to photograph a wedding, although this wasn’t the first wedding I’ve photographed. I love her for having that faith in me. I hope I did you proud, guys. Much love x

PS I’m taking bookings now for 2014 & 2015 weddings. Get in touch to arrange a consultation.

Back to school this week! (I know there’s two pictures but I like to break the rules sometimes!).

How cute are they?

This week you

* Moved into Year 2! You were really pleased to go back to school and you really like your new teacher. We’re so happy.

* Went to the climbing centre with your friends (a belated birthday treat). You were fearless and climbed so high, my heart was in my throat!

P.S…A little geeky but hopefully this is useful to someone…I’ve noticed that I’ve been having problems with my auto focusing recently (ahem, see above…) and read in a forum about how this is really common with my favourite lens and you can calibrate your lens to correct it, which I did this morning. It’s made all the difference! I didn’t even know this before now.

It seems like only a week ago, there were the entire summer holidays before us and a list on my phone of potential activities to fill the days. 6 weeks seemed like FOREVER…. And in the blink of an eye, here we are – making sure everything’s labelled and fits and getting ready to start all over again. Part of me is glad to get back to normal and part of me is sad that we didn’t do all the things on the list (which was quite adventurous, admittedly) and wishing I could do it again. It’s been lovely, really. It’s the only year in my son’s entire life that he has actually worn all of the summer clothes I’ve bought him. I wonder if he’ll remember this year? The year it was hot and we had picnics nearly every day.

Our trip to Hitchin Lavender (one off the list). I highly recommend a visit, only I’d suggest going earlier in the summer. You’re welcome. I also realised when I looked through the photos later that little dude was being stalked by a bee for most of the visit and I hadn’t noticed. Mother of the year here, folks!
