Monthly Archives: August 2013

I was complaining to my friend last night about my lack of blogging lately. I have so many photos, so many things to say, so many comments I should write – everything that goes along with this blogging lark. I almost don’t want to remind people about this blog because they might realise then how terrible I am at updating it. My plans to keep up with it have fallen by the wayside, much like the fitness plan I outlined for myself (those all-terrain running shoes have had one outing. ONE!). And then she said “Aren’t you just a real mum?”. YES! I am! And I like this excuse because it doesn’t make me sound lazy. The thing is, it’s the holidays, they go to bed late because I’m hoping they’ll sleep in, THEY NEVER SLEEP IN! I’ll be honest, I’m exhausted from trying to make sure they have the best summer holidays ever. We’re only two weeks in and already have a day out at Cadbury World, a couple of farm trips (one of which resulted in a vomiting child the next day – fun times), a long weekend with the grandparents, a couple of playdates, numerous park trips and a few picnics under our belts. That “What I did in the holidays” scrapbook is going to look bloody amazing.

Our trip to Cadbury World. So much chocolate, we were in Heaven! Freshly made Dairy Milk is the absolute best! The Sunshine Cafe, where the staff bicker over the pans and the waitress nibbles all your food…
