It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We had a lovely Christmas, I hope you did too. Our Christmas Eve was perfect – we went ice skating, then to church for a candlelit service, followed by hot pork baps, mulled cyder (everyone else opted for something fizzy so I drank practically the whole pan single handedly!) and new Christmas PJs. We’ve enjoyed hanging out at my parents for the past few days, catching up with friends and our families, playing with new toys, building new lego, reading books, eating our bodyweight in chocolate (OK, that was mainly me…). Believe it or not but I only took a handful of photos, I kept forgetting to get the camera out! We’re back home now and looking forward to New Years Eve and another week together before it’s back to our usual routine. We were all utterly spoilt as usual, the children especially. Our friends and family are so kind and generous and they were given some really lovely and thoughtful gifts. I got lots of photography related gifts, of course! My husband surprised me with a pack of my favourite film and my parents got me a vintage Minolta camera which I can’t wait to try out. It’s older than I am and takes 110 cassette film which I haven’t used before. Can’t wait to get my geek on!
Happy New Year! I hope 2014 brings many adventures and a lot of happiness for you and yours.
